I did not add additional table salt when I sauteed the meat because canned soups tend to be a chip salty on their own. I used viii oz. fresh chopped baby bella mushrooms instead of canned, the full can of beef broth (just to brand more than "gravy") and fresh ground pepper to gustation. I served this over buttered egg noodles. I did not try this myself but my family thought it was great. NO leftovers. This was very elementary and came together in twenty minutes, from start to finish.

Everyone enjoyed this. I did alter things a picayune...I sauted the onion in a little butter and olive oil until tender, and so added the mushrooms (I used fresh - i/2 sliced white button and 1/ii sliced baby bellas) and sauted those until all moisture was gone and then added the minced garlic and sauted for 2 minutes. I then deglazed with the white wine and allowed to simmer until the pan was almost dry out. This mixture was removed from the pan and set aside and the ground beef was added to the pan and browned. Then the mushroom mixture added back in. I mixed the flour with one/two loving cup of beef stock and added that to the skillet and then 2 cans of mushroom soup and i.5 the corporeality of beef broth (I used stock) called for in the recipe and a splash of Worcestershire. (Also seasoned with Salt and Pepper forth the mode). Allowed this to simmer for approx. ten - xv min and served over wide egg noddles. Very tasty weenight dinner.

Very uncomplicated yet very tasty! My family raved. Nosotros didn't have wine so I used water. Next time I'd cut back some on the onions and I Love onions.
07/25/2005
Lovely recipe - the white wine addition really makes this dish. Fifty-fifty though ground beefiness is used it actually tastes much more than elegant. I used fresh mushrooms instead of canned just because I had them. Delicious.
03/14/2006
Really skilful! Increased the goop to a full tin can & increased the worchestershire sauce to 2 tbsps for a richer taste.
08/24/2007
I was just looking for something quick and easy to practise with ground beef, and instead I've found my hubby's new favorite meal. The only thing I changed was instead of white wine I used Marsala cooking vino. I didn't have whatsoever onions, so I used dried minced onions. I served it over fettucini noodles, but I think it would be better with egg noodles, or fifty-fifty macaroni. It was awesome!

I used 1lb ground turkey (that's what I had). I used fat free cream of mushroom soup and corn starch (what I had) and an entire can of beefiness goop. I didn't take worchestershire, so I used soy sauce. I still felt that it was banal, so I added some garlic pulverization, more black pepper and a modest splash of mustard. All in all it was very adept. The nearly picky eater (my husband) had two bowls and said he would swallow it 'occasionally'. The higher educatee, kindergartner, toddler, and I all enjoyed it. I volition keep it and brand it once again! Thank you!

This was a very good tasty way to apply basis beef and ingredients that normally are available in the cupboard. Instead of using canned mushrooms, I used fresh mushrooms that I sauteed prior to adding them to the browned meat mixture. To reduce the fat content, I tuckered the browned meat mixture, used reduced fat soup and substituted the butter for olive oil. I would recommend this recipe for anyone who is looking to make a quick meal with ground beef.
10/09/2006
This recipe is definitely a "do-over," although I found we needed to add actress table salt at the tabular array. Y'all might desire to increase salt to 1/two teaspoon. Also, I drained the fat off of the meat even though the recipe didn't betoken to practice so.
02/27/2007
This recipe was very good. It is great for a quick calendar week night meal.
02/21/2011
This was very tasty! I used what I had on hand, and so used french onion soup (canned) instead of beefiness goop, fresh mushrooms, and steak cut into strips instead of basis beef. Didn't accept any Worcestershire sauce either, so added a dash of A1. The pans are empty (barely enough for my lunch for tomorrow!), and then looks like it's a keeper at my business firm!
07/25/2006
We loved this and so much nosotros ate it for 4 consecutive dinners.
12/03/2009
I beloved Beefiness Stroganoff only never accept sour cream so this was a great recipe for me.

07/04/2011
This was fabled - I rarely take sour cream in the fridge. This recipe hit the spot with ingredients I had on hand and in terms of season.
07/03/2006
I love beefiness stroganoff only my husband can't have dairy and then this was a swell recipe for us! I didn't think it was possible to brand beefiness stroganoff without sour cream just this was great. I have made it several times now.
02/27/2011
nosotros had no sour cream either and this was a corking recipe we had almost everything in it. we had beefiness steaw chunks so I used those and used garlic powder and 2 cand of cream of mushroom soup no wine or acctual mushrooms only the taste was keen. thanks so much for providinga reciepe that is economical. 01/07/2013
This was very quick and easy recipe. The only matter I did dissimilar was didn't have any white wine. So I used beef broth instead. Worked great that way.
09/23/2014
Used this recipe considering I didn't take sour foam on paw. I skipped the salt and used 10.5oz of beef goop. I also was a little liberal with the Worcester sauce. Loved information technology!
08/06/2011
This was great! I fabricated as is minus the mushrooms. Also drained the beef later cooking. Served with noodles.
08/24/2011
thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! i dont similar using sour cream and used this recipe information technology was smashing! i used sherry instead and it came out greatg
03/31/2011
My kids LOVED this! 2nd time preparing it in 3 weeks!!!
10/14/2013
Information technology turned out great!! I was looking for a quick recipe to whip up before I head to work and this was perfect. Its quick, piece of cake and tastes great. In lieu of chopped mushrooms, I used chopped eggplant and in lieu of worcestershire sauce, I only seasoned the meat while frying it with all purpose seasonings. It provided enough flavour and paired well with the cream of mushroom and wine.
12/26/2013
The flavor was ok but way besides much flour that made it gooey and the meat was too tough.
01/05/2011
for as easy as it is, information technology tastes great. good weekday choice
09/14/2009
This was very skillful, and piece of cake, despite my picky swain non wanting basis beef. I subbed meridian round, thinly sliced. I ditched the salt, considering I used white cooking vino which is very salty. I did store specifically for this recipe, so I found myself wanting (and lacking) a picayune flake more than beef stock while it was thickening. I used water, and it seemed okay. Cheers for sharing!
03/07/2010
Very dainty without the sour cream. Nosotros used Sirloin steak instead of the ground meat. Cooking time was extended to insure meat tenderness. The mushroom soup and wine added a actually good flavor to the dish. I would recommend to anyone interested in a quick, simple, meal. We served with broccoli, side garden salad, and hot crescent rolls. 2010-03-05.
05/04/2013
I used fresh mushrooms (they're always better) and chicken goop (because that's what I had). Came out delicious!
01/11/2012
Toddler LOVED it, I thought it was tasty, picky husband ehh he ate it, merely not super thrilled ;)
01/01/2006
Pitiful, this but wasn't very good. Information technology was too thick, too salty, and we didn't similar the flavor of the wine.
01/05/2011
My husband LOVED this! Information technology was very practiced and super like shooting fish in a barrel to make!
08/18/2011
Loved information technology! Very filling! Succulent over a bed of steamed cabbage and egg noodles. I used leaks instead of onions for a more mild gustation. Made information technology for my family twice in two weeks. They even liked the left overs :) Thanks!
05/08/2014
I wanted to try this considering I tin can't have sour foam merely honey beef stroganoff. I don't keep white wine on hand and so I used half a cup of beef goop instead. I too used a whole tin can of beef goop to add together in instead of the half tin can called for, and garlic salt rather than garlic cloves. Once everything was cooked and mixed together I wasn't so sure almost it. It looked besides much similar hamburger helper, and while I have nothing against HH, if I'yard cooking it's because I want something other than HH for once :P It also lacked in color so I added a big handful of dried parsley flakes. Notwithstanding, it did taste better than expected, mostly due to the Worcestershire sauce. I added in a very liberal "dash", stirred it in and permit it cook for a few minutes, then added in an equally liberal second nuance. Information technology was decent, I will at least eat the leftovers. Still, if I make it again I'll probably use beef strips and fresh mushrooms, and maybe experiment with a few additional seasonings.
04/26/2020
Then good! I brand footing beef stroganoff regularly from my own recipe. I didn't accept whatever sour cream so searched all over for a recipe that didn't need information technology. Instead of beef broth I used a packet of beefiness boullion and a cup of milk. I used fresh instead of canned mushrooms. Otherwise followed recipe. It'south delicious and I will endeavour using wine instead of sour cream again.
08/eleven/2006
I idea this was good, not smashing. I did use low-fatty, lower salt foam of mushroom soup. I used 2 lbs. of ground beefiness, two cans of the soup, a whole 10 oz can of beefiness goop and 3/4 cup of white wine. I idea information technology needed some more spice, and then I put nearly a ane teas of stale thyme in it. However, my husband loved information technology, so I volition brand it again. I think I volition try blood-red wine next time, perhaps that will go fifty-fifty better with the beefiness.
12/02/2009
Meh, kind of gloopy and my hubby wasn't enthused.
09/12/2005
very bland, far to thick. By the fourth dimension I added enough liquids and then that it could exist served - the recipe had doubled.
12/20/2009
Very easy to make, I made information technology for my cousin's bbq and past the end of information technology in that location was none left =) I would definitely make again.
09/10/2011
this turned out delicious, I actually added frozen hash brown potato'southward to it, and it was all devoured. Adding the vino was a skilful call!
05/23/2007
Hey, I am trying to cook light so the "No sour foam" attracted me to this recipe. To make this fifty-fifty lighter I replaced basis beef with lean ground turkey; used evidently yogurt instead of butter; wheat flour instead of white flour and mixed regular egg noodles with whole wheat egg noodles. It still tasted great! Enjoy cooking light :)
04/01/2009
Hubby enjoyed it and it was sooooooooo much easier to brand than the original recipe I have.
05/19/2016
I made this concluding night and had to make some changes due to what I had on hand. Used Marsala vino instead of white (non gonna lie, I had white but I was drinking it lol) won't exercise that again, I am not a big fan of marsala wine but information technology turned out ok, I simply think it would accept been better with the white. I didn't have an onion so I threw in some dehydrated onion, this worked out fine. I concluded up using penne pasta instead of the egg noodles and that was fine likewise. I did use more garlic then chosen for just because I love garlic. Last I didn't mix the flour with the liquids, I sprinkled it over the meat after browning and cooked it a little more than and so added all the liquids this way in that location were no lumps and it thickened up very nice. Overall it turned out pretty good and will definitely make once more only for sure using the white wine. This is a quick and easy recipe to make and taste pretty proficient.
09/19/2014
Very proficient sauce and quite tasty. I had some pork cutlets that I cubed in lieu of ground beef. I also added 1/two t. of Tarragon to enhance the sauce. Nosotros both thought is delicious and are looking forward to eating the leftovers.
12/22/2014
The simply I changed was using red wine instead of white!! And then Good!!!
01/07/2014
Very easy!!! Used basis sausage instead (didn't accept beef). Turned out FAB!!!
09/28/2006
Very skillful...I only added some parmesean cheese right earlier serving
02/02/2012
Wonderful, quick, simple and tasty recipe! It also works with ground pork and chicken broth when you want a break from scarlet meat.
09/23/2008
The ground beef created a dish simply similar Hamburger Helper, which is non a favorite of mine. It also was visually unappealing. If I attempt again, I will utilise sirloin strips.
09/14/2005
This was a good recipe and would advise it to anyone who is looking for something quick and hearty to serve a family. My married man and kids ate it right upwardly/
01/22/2020
Delicious
08/12/2015
Amazing flavor. I left out wine & added more than worchestershire & pepper to requite information technology more than aught. Family loved it & simple :)
08/30/2006
Really good and easy. But I did add sour cream. Had some in the fridge and needed to use it soon. But all in all I loved the result and will use it once more. Over noodles of course.
05/02/2010
You could taste the wine in it which I didn't actually think yous would be able to. I don't retrieve I will make this i once again.
12/18/2016
so glad I found a decent beef stroganoff recipe with no sour cream. I sauteed onions and garlic in butter/olive oil as another reviewer suggested. next i added 1/ii cup white vino and let it reduce. then I added beef, chicken broth (not crazy about beef broth) cream of mushroom soup, common salt, pepper and wostechire sauce. let simmer for ten-fifteen minutes and adjusted seasoning with a touch more salt, pepper and sauce. i institute i didn't need flour to thicken. Very tasty!!
03/29/2010
This was exciting because information technology used up a can of cream of mushroom soup left over from the green bean goulash holiday tradition. We used fresh mushrooms and beef bullion cubes as mild substitutions.....pretty tasty.
06/12/2012
This was good if you are a hamburger helper fan. I enjoyed it but didn't think it was the best. I would have given 3 stars simply my husband loved it and is still eating leftovers the 3rd solar day! Lol I omitted the mushrooms because we are non a fan. I used slightly more than half a tin of beeth broth. I found the the gustatory modality of the beef broth overwhelming so I ended upwards diluting with about ane/iv cup water. This made for the perfect creaminess. Adding the Worcestershire at the end is a must!
02/20/2010
Bully recipe! Some things I didn't have like, the tin can of mushrooms, wine, Worcestershire sauce or garlic. I used 3 Tbsp of flour and added skim milk to thin the mixture a flake since I wasn't putting in wine. I used garlic seasoning in place of the garlic clove. Delicious!!! I poured the gravy over cooked rotini noodles! YUM!!!!

Let me kickoff off by saying, nosotros just moved and I am very limited on what I have to work with in the kitchen correct now, so I had to make changes and improvise. Merely, this recipe deserves 5 stars because information technology was the base of operations of our amazing dinner, perfect for those days when you lot have to piece of work magic to put a meal together. These are the changes I had to brand. I had to skip the onion and garlic, I don't have any yet, non fifty-fifty powder. I didn't accept white wine or beefiness broth, so I used craven broth for both. And lastly, I don't accept Worcestershire sauce however, simply I have steak sauce, so I used a splash of that. I served it with buttered egg noodles, and information technology was awesome. Everyone gobbled it up and asked me to make it once again. I do want to try the recipe the mode information technology's written too though. But, if you're in a bind, like me, this recipe is perfect because it allows adjustments with whatever you have on manus.
10/08/2009
like shooting fish in a barrel and yummy with no sour cream!
02/02/2009
I was pleasantly satisfied with this recipe. I thought I would miss the sour cream, but I didn't I used a little extra of all the seasonings and the stroganoff was very flavorful and creamy. The only change I made was that I used steak instead of hamburger and vegetable goop instead of beefiness. My family really enjoyed this repast. 1 reviewer said it tasted like Hamburger Helper and I agree, but felt ameliorate near making this recipe rather than the processed pulverization in HH.
05/14/2008
I really like this recipe! I omitted the mushrooms because my children don't like them. Similar another reviewer, I also increased the beefiness broth to i cup. I as well didn't have any cream of mushroom on hand, and so I used cream of golden mushroom. I served it over egg noodles and both kids including a picky eater ate it!
09/xx/2009
I thought this was expert.. However, dont use beefiness stew meat or information technology will not get tender plenty to eat...
10/06/2009
Was information technology merely me or did this come out creamy white and not like the picture at all!? I call back the moving-picture show must exist incorrect. Overall, a pretty skillful recipe considering I didn't have any sour foam. It could utilise a little more sense of taste. Mine seemed a little bland then I added extra garlic, pepper and worcestshire sauce. Non bad. A good recipe to have on paw.
02/16/2017
Nice recipe and will definitely brand it once more. I inverse a couple things.... I didn't use wine (super expensive where I live), I used beefiness strips Instead of ground beef, and a cream of mushroom instant bundle (which I mixed with water) instead of cream of mushroom soup. Next fourth dimension I would likewise apply fresh mushrooms, not canned.
01/01/2016
use water instead of wine and flank steak instead of ground. Information technology was very skillful, my grandkids all loved it......
ten/05/2020
Love this and will make again- I used A1 instead of Worcester sauce since my family unit does not intendance for it.
02/04/2018
Not as flavorful equally I would like
03/24/2016
This was pretty good. I never use canned mushrooms tho. I accept as well made it with small meatballs using worchestershire and beefiness stock to soak the fresh breadstuff for crumbs. It has always been a fav. of my son.
03/29/2016
I take looked for a recipe for beef stroganoff that my family would like for years. I made this one concluding night and everyone was going back for more!!! Definitely one I will make again and again! I did not have white wine so I used water instead and it was still great. Thank you, thank y'all, cheers!!!
06/21/2009
Get out out the wine and this volition nonetheless be a good dinner.
11/28/2018
I used ii lbs of ground beefiness which I browned and strained kickoff. Then cooked about fourteen oz of fresh mushrooms & the chopped onion in butter. Reduced the flour to 3 T. Used proportionally more of the other ingredients due to the 2 lbs of ground beefiness. Other reviews found it too "white" but cooking the mushrooms generated a nice color for the dish.
02/04/2019
A flake bland. Adding more pepper next time.
12/13/2008
Awesome recipe my family adored it, including my inlaws who are normally very hard to please (were talking near how good information technology was the next day!) I only added some garlic pulverisation and a few turns from the pepper mill. Other than that i followed it exactly and information technology was perfect! Definetly family unit fave at present.
10/09/2007
This was edible, but certainly not adept. My husband ate it. He said it was practiced, but he will always be prissy when it comes to comments on anyone's cooking. I ate role of mine, but couldn't eat the residuum of information technology.
06/28/2016
This was corking! I made some changes- I used thinly sliced steak instead of beef, only added 8oz beef stock and no cream of mushroom. I put it over zucchini noodles. Thanks for the recipe!
01/24/2021
Fabricated as is. Tatsed swell.
02/14/2009
i inverse this i a flake. i used cubed stew meat, and burgundy cooking wine. information technology was so succulent, i would definitely consider serving this to dinner guests.
05/02/2016
Followed the recipe to a tee, except used less flour and during the simmer at the terminate I added dark-green peas, chopped asparagus, sliced jalapeno pepper as I like information technology spicy, and a shot of sherry. Deeelish!
04/23/2009
This was okay. I tried it bc I wanted to practice something with basis beefiness other than lasagna or spaghetti or meatloaf. Simply I didn't accept sour foam, thus I used this recipe. I used ziti pasta. I'd make this again, but its nothing to write dwelling house about.
08/28/2008
I was looking for a way to utilize up some left over roast beef with a gravy and some noodles and this fit the bill perfectly and it was A+++ succulent. I didn't brand any other changes to the recipe.
08/27/2009
Very good. Everyone liked
02/xiii/2021
Used this every bit a rough guideline for the dish... My start concern was the amount of meat called for. Does anyone keep 1/2 lb packages of footing beef in their freezer? I only used two lbs so I didn't have a small amount of beefiness sitting in the refrigerator with no purpose. We like meat, a little extra never hurts. The second upshot I came across, is that the beef would have been way over done and dried out if I browned information technology beginning then continued to melt it with the veggies. So I removed the meat from the pan until the veggies were cooked to my liking, then mixed the meat back in. Third trouble... I don't personally know anyone who keeps white wine on hand for cooking. (I know similar ane person who keeps it in her house for drinking.) I chose this recipe because I didn't have sour foam and was looking for an alternative. After a piddling research, I decided to substitute milk for the liquid the wine would have added and ii or iii tablespoons apple cider vinegar for the slightly sugariness "twang" I would imagine the wine would have given to the recipe. Fourth problem I faced is that it was instantly too thick after calculation the ingredients called for to the pan. Even after using the whole tin can of beefiness broth it was pretty thick. And not creamy enough. I concluded upward calculation a little actress milk, and black pepper. Too did non add Whatever salt, as the soups both have a lot of sodium already. I ended up being able to fix the dish so information technology was pretty delicious, only it was much different than the recipe here by the e
09/21/2009
It tasted similar hamburger helper--that'southward fine at least I know what'south in it! Only it was and then visually unappetizing that I could not terminate eating it. Actually pale, white and grayish. I don't know how the above photo looks so proficient--maybe they left out the flour?
02/22/2006
Made according to directions, and was truly impressed. I had reservations about the vino, just used it anyway, and I'k glad I did. Even my four twelvemonth onetime liked information technology!
03/12/2009
No complaints on the recipe, I've ever liked stroganoff only I hate sour cream then I was more than than excited to find this recipe. I usually make it with whatever vino I feel like throwing in there, red, marsala, or white, and it's good with all 3. I omit the mushrooms, but go along everything else pretty much the same. this recipe is 1 that made it into my personal recipe notebook, excellent!
04/08/2020
Added more than foam of mushroom and used fresh mushrooms.
12/07/2008
I really like this recipe! I honey beef stroganoff, but don't make it because my son has a dairy allergy. This is so adept, piece of cake, tasty, non expensive and non totally unhealthy with lean meat. I used corn starch instead of flour, fresh mushrooms because I don't like canned, craven goop instead of beef considering I didn't have beef broth, and even with all the substitutions it was actually expert. I'll make this a lot!
02/16/2008
This was are a really peachy, fast, familty meal!
01/10/2010
don't employ frozen, thawed meat/ season the meat well while browning......super expert
05/21/2009
An like shooting fish in a barrel, quick, and tasty meal. And it makes plenty of food when you double the recipe... good for college students.
05/03/2010
for how easy this is, it is astonishing! I used fresh mushrooms and information technology came out so flavorful and succulent.
09/05/2009
Made this recipe using our leftover meatballs instead of the basis beef. Volition use this recipe again. Next time I'll exist more conscientious when I add the vino/flour mixture...mine went lumpy..oops! (-: Thanks for the no sour foam stroganoff! (we most never have sour cream in the house)
01/28/2010
I forgot the mushroom soup but it yet worked and was extremely tasty
04/20/2015
Followed recipe exactly..and information technology was great. Just added cilantro for a garnish.
